She merely glanced upon him and smiled,
You remind me of me grandpa..
She giggled and put her dial up to his,
Hello..
She said playfully.

Eagle still wondered at her games. She seemed to be switching emotions and even personalities with every passing moment. It was very confusing. After all, not even a minute ago she had been glaring at him angrily.

Eagle took a step or two back as the mare put her nose close to his. He wasn't afraid of her, but he also wasn't used to such close contact with others. It was probably something he'd have to get used to later on, but that was the way he was for now. Thoroughly bewildered by her behavior, he remained silent, watching her. His expression wasn't wary or angry, neither was it particularly happy. More neutral, with a hint of confusion.

She bit her lip as she saw him. He seemed to be trying to analize her, and..she didn't like it very much.
Thinking wildly her kissers parted, and her lyrics flowed. Mane being tossed in the playfull wind as she looked down on him, bodice rigid.
I don't recall you telling me your name..
No emotions visible on her face, she kept her eyes upon his..

Finally. Something he could reply to without feeling uncomfortable. At least, not too much so. Thankfully, she seemed to be sticking with one mood at this point. "I am Eagle." he replied, lowering his head in some approximation of a bow. "And you are?"

Eagle, eh? I suppose those humans named you.

She had 'er brows raised at 'im,
smile spreading gently upon 'er features.
A gentle breeze struck as 'e ask 'er dubbance,
she tipped 'er crania, auds sliding foreward,
kissers opened to let out 'er melodic tunes, eyes half closed,
I be Elidel, Eagle. It is my extreem pleasure to meet you..

"No, the humans did not name me. They had given me several names before, but I decided it was time for a change once I left them." he made it sound as though they had given him a choice. Hah.

Elidel. A somewhat unusual name... But then, what did he know? She was the first he had met since leaving the humans. Perhaps all others named themselves that way. In that case, his name would be the unusual one. Still he liked it, and even if it was so, he would not change it.

"And it is a pleasure to meet you." Eagle replied. He wasn't used to formality, but he did his best. It seemed as though the mare wanted to start their meeting over again. That was just as well with Eagle. He had been rather uncomfortable earlier, after all.

Do you have any lands, Eagle?
She smiled down at 'im,
pools catching his every movement...
Optics strove into his, as if pressing the question more and more...
Cran lowered, level with 'is...
...Any,...mares?
Her eyes flashed as she asked this,
'eyes dancing with laughter..

(not really feeling it 2day lol.)

Eagle's attention momentarily wandered as a squirrel jumped from a tree a ways away. It landed on the ground, sat up and looked about, tail twitching spastically. For a moment, it froze when it spotted the two horses, but then it seemed to forget them as it busily began chewing the seeds from off a pinecone.

Eagle was brought back to the conversation at hand when Elidel spoke again.

Do you have any lands, Eagle? Any...,...mares?

Her expression unsettled him slightly, as though she were mocking him. It made him uncomfortable, but he did not move or show this slight discomfort in any way.

"No." he replied. "No lands of my own, nor any mares." he didn't feel the need to explain. He had no lands because he had only just arrived, and no mares because he would never be able to defend a herd. He was too old for that, in any case. It didn't bother him. Not unless someone began taking advantage of his rather advanced age.
