Hooves flew through the snow, sending it either flying to either side in clouds of white or pounding it into the earth beneath his hooves. The sound of it, loud as it was, was drowned out by the scream of the blizzard, which tore through every crevice in the rock mercilessly, beating against Guillotine's body. He paid the wind no mine however, as he charged ahead, drawing almost even with the mare. He tossed his head as he came level with her back, and nipped her shoulder as he came up next to her, his head nearly level with hers after a leap over a sharp rock, which he had only seen when it was less than two feet away from his legs.

Auds pinned to her skull as she fel the brute's ivories touch her pelt, yet a small smirk swept over her features. They had jumped almost in unison, well she thought they did, she couldn't see particularly well. One.. two.. three strides then she stopped, hind legs bracing so she slid, almost in a sitting position. Nares flared and short jets of steam exited them as she stood, tassle whipping against her hind legs and forleock impeding her vision, not that the snow wasn't already. The screaming white mass hurled itself at her body, creating a thin layer of ice, shattering as she as she moved a fraction. Arrow didn't know how far he'd go before realising she had disappeared, probably not that far, but you never knew what would happen. Daggers never remained longer than a second on the same spot, churning up the snow beneath them, making it fly with the rest of it swirling around her right no, making her a lost dark shape, disappearing the further you went...

Guillotine snorted as he saw Arrow's form suddenly disappear as she stopped and he passed her. A moment later, he slowed as well, making a sharp turn to face the mare, his mane whipping about his head and neck in the wind. But when he turned, he saw that she was no longer there. Eyes narrowed, searching the unceasing, chaotic movement of the whirling snow before him for a hint of her dark form. Ears rotated to and fro as he listened for the sound of her hoofbeats. No luck though. He could see nothing but the blowing snow and the bent-over sapling beside him, could hear nothing but the scream of the wind. He stepped forward, still looking through the snow for her and ignoring the snowflakes that attached themselves to his coat, making him look almost silver instead of the light brownish-tan he was.

Nares heaved the freezing air in. Dial was raised higher than usual, trying to see through the scene of madness before her. Orbs strained themselves, as did cochlea, watching, waiting... Limbs had stopped their mad churning, but still moved restlessly. Suddenly, she shot forward, gaining speed with every magnificent stride. Somehow Arrow knew he hadn't gone far, he didn't seem the idiotic type. Auds were plastered to her skull, banners were whipping out behind her when she saw a darker mass through the white. He would no doubt notice her but she went on. She didn't actually know how close he really was until she nearly ran into him, sliding to a halt and rearing just in time to avoid collision. Her plan was to go round him, but that was short lived by the fact that she hadn't seen him properly.

Guillotine reared as well, though only about a foot off the ground, and only enough to nip at her left foreleg before he pushed off with his hind legs, sending him into a canter away from her. Was he toying with her? Not in the mocking sense, but he was playing a kind of game. He went just far enough that she would barely be able to see him, paused to look back, the continued forward again at the same pace. He was moving in a straight line(or at least, as straight a line as he could manage in the uncertain surroundings), and his plan was that she follow him. As soon as he saw her, he would move to a gallop. It was his turn to lead the chase.
